Course Description

A level 4 AAT qualification is a professional diploma in accounting. In this qualification you will cover higher accounting tasks including drafting financial statements, managing budgets and evaluating financial performance, as well as optional specialist units including business tax, personal tax, external auditing, credit management, and cash and treasury management. Achieve professional AAT Accountant status If you successfully complete this qualification and fulfil the associated AAT work experience requirements, you can apply for AAT full membership, you can also move on to and achieve professional MAAT status. The fee for this course is £2,510 and includes all examination fees associated with the programme. Learners can apply for a 19+ learner loan to cover the costs of the course. The first session is designed to find out whether the course delivers exactly what you need and will include an information session. If this course isn't right for you we will recommend other more suitable courses. The first session will be held on the 08th of January 2019 between 10:00AM - 12:00PM. What will I learn?

This level contains the following units:
* Management Accounting: Budgeting
* Management Accounting: Decision and Control
* Financial Statements of Limited Companies
* Accounting Systems and Controls

And two modules from the following:
* Business Tax
* Personal Tax
* External Auditing
* Cash and Treasury Management
* Credit Management


By the end of this course you will have learned to:
* Complete a limited company's statutory financial statements
* Interpret financial statements using ratio analysis
* Prepare budgets and income expenditure forecasts
* Measure performance and manage costs
* Prepare performance reports for management
* Write a professional report based on the internal control of an accounting system
* Complete a corporation tax return Complete a self-assessment tax return

Is this course right for me?

You will be required to already hold a level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification

What do I need to bring?

Pens, pencils, notebook/pad & a calculator. You will also need to purchase the relevant text books, but not until you have attended the first information session.

How much does this course cost?

All of the fees we charge are based on the level of government subsidy we get for you as a learner. We get these subsidies from the Education & Skills Funding Agency, a central government agency that is responsible for funding schools as well as adult learning.

If you are older than 23 or already have a level 3 qualification or higher then there are no subsidies available for any of the qualification courses that we run and you will need to pay the "Full Fee". In this instance you do have the option of paying for your course with an "Advanced Learning Loan" meaning that you will have no upfront fees to pay.

What can I study next?

NCLS offer a range of professional qualifications for you to consider including the Higher Apprenticeship in leadership in management which could lead to a degree level qualification.

You can also progress to a range of professional qualifications including ACCA, CIMA, ATT, CIPFA. You could also progress to study for a Degree in Accountancy or Professional MAAT status.
