From the City Centre, near the Castle, turn along Rouen Road and turn left into King Street. From the Norwich City Football Club ground, heading away from the ground/retail parks, take the first turning on your right immediately after the river bridge, then turn right again into King Street.

Course Description

Consolidate and further develop your signing skills. Improve your receptive and productive skills further in a range of topics. For people who have attended a BSL class for at least 2 terms

What will I learn?

This course is designed to consolidate and further develop your BSL skills, to improve your receptive and productive skills and to enable you to communicate in BSL in everyday life situations.

Please bring a pen and a notepad to the class.

How much does this course cost?

All of our Community Learning "leisure & pleasure" courses are partly subsidised by the Education & Skills Funding Agency, a central government agency that is responsible for funding schools as well as adult learning. This means that we can charge a very low full fee of £5.50 per hour and offer a concessionary rate of £2.20 per hour for any learners that are in receipt of a means tested state benefit.

What qualification will I receive?

By the end of this course you will be confident to communicate on a range of topics that involve more detailed information relating to simple everyday topics like travel and transport, descriptions of buildings and directions inside building, weather and exchanging personal information.

Online

All of the courses that we run and are available for you to apply for are advertised on our website: https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/education-and-learning/adult-learning/courses

The easiest route for you to apply for a course is online. If this is your first time applying then you need to set up an account, otherwise you can simply log in using your email address or learner reference number and your password.

For Leisurestream and Community Learning courses you can enrol yourself directly onto the course and make your payment using a debit or credit card.

For our English and maths courses you can enrol yourself online onto the course and no payment is required as these are generally free. Once you have enrolled onto the course the tutor will be in touch with you to discuss the course and to give you the joining instructions.

For qualification courses you can apply online and we will invite you to attend a pre-course information session. At this session one of our tutors will discuss the course with you and make sure that it exactly what you are expecting and make sure that it will give you the right outcome. No payment is required to apply online and if any fees are due then we will contact you to take payment after your information session.
