From the City Centre, near the Castle, turn along Rouen Road and turn left into King Street. From the Norwich City Football Club ground, heading away from the ground/retail parks, take the first turning on your right immediately after the river bridge, then turn right again into King Street.

Course Description

This is a free session to provide an overview of our Access to Higher Education courses which start in September. Meet the tutor, have a conversation about the courses we offer and what would suit you and your career aspirations. You will also learn about all the funding and support options that are available. If you are considering a career in Health and Social Care, Counselling or Psychology our Access to HE courses provide you with the qualification you will need to go to University within 1 year. You will need to have attended an "it for me?" session prior to enrolling on one of our Access to HE courses.

What will I learn?

On completion of this session you will know which of our Access to HE courses is right for you. You will learn how you are assessed on the programme, what is required of you in terms of coursework submissions, how the course is taught and structured and how this can positively impact on your career prospects in the health sector. We will also talk you through all of the funding and support options that we offer to enable you the best chance of success.

You will need to show that you have been successful at level 2 and have achieved GCSE English and maths

What do I need to bring?

For this information session you need to bring certificates of qualifications already achieved, plus a pen and paper.

How much does this course cost?

This course is FREE.

What qualification will I receive?

This is an information session only.

What can I study next?

After attending this session, if you meet the entry requirements, you can progress to the full Access to Higher Education: Health Professions course.

Courses that go well with this course

Ideally you should have GCSE English and maths before joining this course. However, it is possible to do one of these alongside the Access programme as long as you have enough spare time.

Where can I get additional support?

You may be able to cover the cost of the fees for the full Access to HE course with an Advanced Learner Loan. These loans are similar to a student loan, and you can discuss this option at the information session.
