Course Description

This free course is designed for those who would like to gain either Level 1 or Level 2 Award in Skills for Health and Social Care (Adults and Children). During this session you will learn about the full ten week course. There will be a short 1:1 interview and you will sit an initial assessment to check that this is the correct level course for you.

What will I learn?

You will learn about the Health and Social Care level 1 Award course. You will be told the venus and times of the course. You will be told which units you will be studying and how they are assessed. By the end of this session you will be able to decided whether this course is suitable for you and your intended progression route.

Is this course right for me?

You need to have previously achieved at Entry level 3 or above.

What do I need to bring?

You will need pen and paper.

What qualification will I receive?

This is an information session only.

What can I study next?

After attending this session, if you meet the entry requirements, you can join the Health and Social Care level 1 course.

Courses that go well with this course

To join the Health and Social Care level 1 course you need to be working at entry level 3, or above, in English and maths. If you have not reached this level you will find the functional skills in English and maths useful.

For our English and maths courses you can enrol yourself online onto the course and no payment is required as these are generally free. Once you have enrolled onto the course the tutor will be in touch with you to discuss the course and to give you the joining instructions.

For qualification courses you can apply online and we will invite you to attend a pre-course information session. At this session one of our tutors will discuss the course with you and make sure that it is exactly what you are expecting and make sure that you will get the outcome you want.
