From the City Centre, near the Castle, turn along Rouen Road and turn left into King Street. From the Norwich City Football Club ground, heading away from the ground/retail parks, take the first turning on your right immediately after the river bridge, then turn right again into King Street.

Course Description

Heard about Facebook but never joined this social media group? Want to learn ways to communicate with family and friends, share pictures and status updates without compromising your privacy online? This course will help you to set up an account, add friends and show you the basics so that you can feel comfortable using Facebook.

What will I learn?

Get a quick-start introduction to Facebook. Find and add friends and family, and share status updates and pictures - all without compromising your privacy online. Our tutor will show you how to create a Facebook account, personalise your profile, find and join groups. You can also discover how to create events, tag friends, give comments to other posts, share photos, adjust your privacy settings, send messages and chat using Facebook Messenger.

No prior knowledge of Facebook needed

What do I need to bring?

A pen and notepad will be useful for you to make class notes, your tablet if you have one (not essential)

How much does this course cost?

All of our Community Learning "leisure & pleasure" courses are partly subsidised by the Education & Skills Funding Agency, a central government agency that is responsible for funding schools as well as adult learning. This means that we can charge a very low full fee of £5.50 per hour and offer a concessionary rate of £2.20 per hour for any learners that are in receipt of a means tested state benefit.

What qualification will I receive?

There is no qualification for this course.

How to apply

Online

The easiest route for you to apply for a course is online. If this is your first time applying then you need to set up an account, otherwise you can simply log in using your email address or learner reference number and your password.

For Leisurestream and Community Learning courses you can enrol yourself directly onto the course and make your payment using a debit or credit card.

For our English and maths courses you can enrol yourself online onto the course and no payment is required as these are generally free. Once you have enrolled onto the course the tutor will be in touch with you to discuss the course and to give you the joining instructions.

For qualification courses you can apply online and we will invite you to attend a pre-course information session. At this session one of our tutors will discuss the course with you and make sure that it is exactly what you are expecting and make sure that you will get the outcome you want.
