Course Description

Develop your good basic knowledge and skills of the language on this Spanish Intermediate course. You will have the opportunity to extend your vocabulary and grammar and have fun learning to communicate confidently through a variety of activities. The Tutor will be Tamara Alvarez who is originally from Madrid and has been a language Tutor for 10 years

What I will learn?

On this course develop your knowledge of the language. Widen your vocabulary and ability to use the language in everyday situations and learn to communicate with greater confidence. By the end of the course you will feel more confident in a range of situations that you may encounter on a visit to a country where the language is spoken. The tutor will conduct the lesson in the language you are learning, you will also work in pairs and groups to enable you to listen to others and speak the language as much as possible in the classroom. During the leaasons you will practice listening to and reading the language, there will be some written work. Grammar appropriate to the level will be integrated into the teaching and learning. You will be encouraged to do homework each week to reinforce the learning. Your tutor will monitor your progress regularly through informal activities and will discuss your progress with you.

To join this course you will have successfully completed a improvers course or have a good knowledge of the language.

What you will need?

Please bring a pen and a notepad to the class. You will need an A4 ring binder to keep handouts and notes.

How much does this course cost?

All of our Leisurestream courses are run purely on the fees that you as a learner pay as there are no government subsidies. Unfortunately this does mean that there are no concessions available so the full fee is applicable to everyone.

What qualification will I receive?

There are no formal qualifications offered with this course.

Additional support?

Financial support is not available for learners attending LeisureStream courses. If you feel that you need a course where support is available, we run a wide range of government supported courses that would be more suitable. For further information all of these courses are available on our website https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/education-and-learning/adult-learning If you have a learning difficulty, a disability or another reason for needing extra support in the classroom, we may be able to arrange support for you throughout your course. On LeisureStream courses, the cost of extra support in class is £11 per hour, and this would be paid for by the individual learner or shared between a group of learners requiring support in a class.
