Course Description

Continue your French language learning journey, this course will enable you to further develop your basic knowledge of the language. The weekly sessions will give you practice in listening to and reading the language and there will be some written work. Your tutor will widen your vocabulary and ability to use the language in everyday situations and you will learn to communicate with greater confidence. To take into account Monday Bank Holidays some sessions will be delivered on a Tuesday evening.

What will I learn?

By the end of the course you will feel more confident in a range of situations that you may encounter on a visit to a country where the language is spoken. In order to get you to speak and listen to the language as much as possible in the classroom you will work in pairs and groups and your tutor will conduct the lesson in the language you are learning. The lessons will also give you practice in listening to and reading the language and there will be some written work. Grammar appropriate to the level will be integrated into the teaching and learning. Your tutor will monitor your progress regularly through informal activities and will discuss your progress with you. You will be encouraged to do homework each week to reinforce the learning.
